Before announcing the list of“Fresh Air” rematch entries,
let’s start with a brief analysis of all the students’ beverage innovation
ideas.
Spoiler of the FBIF “Fresh Air” Preliminary Contest
During the scoring process of the preliminary contest,
there are many details causing “Post-90”FBIF committee members cannot help
laughing. Regardless of the students’ ideas are sincere and plain, or lively
and interesting, we all have a sense of prophecy that “we seem to know what we
will drink in the future”. As the organizer, while doing a good job of
intellectual property protection, we also want to share those moments making us
laugh loud. So here we will give readers a look through the students’ concerns
and beverage designs insights!
What are students concerned about for this year’s “Fresh Air”?
Trends: fermented tea, plant-based protein
drinks, functional drinks and sparkling water
Frankly speaking, after reading all of the creative
cases, all in our mind are various fermentation, bacteria, proteins and beans.
However, we are quite happy to see students clinging to the trends and taking
the lead in beverage innovation.
Ingredients: being medicinal and edible
Almost 65% of the participating entries select
ingredients of medicinal and edible functions to make beverage. For example,
turmeric, siraidia grosvenorii, motherwort, mulberry, loquat, bergamot, sterol
are all frequently mentioned ingrediants. Do you want to quickly learn about

What insights can we get from students’ beverage designs?
Answer: "Middle-aged girl"
is not a joking buzzword. It’s reality.
Don’t believe it? See the words repeat the most
frequently in their designs:
Then, what’s making drinks for?
See? We don’t lie to you. The middle-aged girls really
exist.
FBIF "Fresh Air" Rematch Entry List
Well, the most exciting moment comes!
We will announce FBIF2018 “Fresh Air” preliminary contest
result. After a fierce first-round competition, 105 teams are entitled to enter
the rematch contest (in no particular order):
"Fresh Air" Anti-roast Tips
In order to help the rematch entries rise in rank, here
we offer three anti-roast tips for reference:
Get a catchy product name
In the first round “Fresh Air”competition, many products’
names are really dumbfounding. Some names are very long and some are odd and
bizarre. We will not make them public. However, we have a question for these
participating candidates: will you entitle yourselves with such weird names? If
you don’t, why would you behave like this towards your design works?!
Therefore, please name your works seriously in the rematch round.
Present your creative origins with
ingenuity
There are many touching moments in the world, even if
it’s just a very common word. When all candidates write that their drinks are
meant to cure “city diseases”, a sentence reading “I feel sad seeing my family
suffered from illness”, or “I want to guard my long-distance girlfriend’s
health”, surely made judges touched. You may not play with emotions, but you
should at least show your uniqueness and design value. Otherwise, how can you
call your beverage a distinctive design?
Focused on products, and it’s all about
tastes!
While entering the second round contest, judges will
grade each sample according to its actual taste. Therefore, please ensure your
sample’s taste and safety. It’s very difficult for you all to pass the first
round and go so far. If you fail just because your sample drink goes bad, we
will feel very sorry for you.
Fresh Air Student Awards Program: Journey

you’ll find opportunities are just around the corner.
Are you surprised? To name the study tour in Netherlands
and Nongfu Spring plant as “Journey to Find Your Passion” contains our great expectations of young people who
will work for the future food industry. Except for setting up the event forum,
we FBIF are more willing to create opportunities for students to experience by
themselves the real food businesses and the charm of food industry that
attracts millions of people to go after and pursue innovation. We also believe

during the study tour.
